Lent 2014: The 40 Day Bible Reading Challenge

Screen Shot 2014-02-17 at 8.02.22 AMLent is the moment in the church calendar when we prepare our hearts and minds for the resurrection of Jesus at Easter. And this year we are joining forces with Bible teacher, speaker, author and friend Margaret Feinberg for a 40 Day Bible Reading Challenge.

The New Testament contains 260 chapters. That means reading the Bible in 40 days requires reading about 7 chapters per day. And if you’re running errands, working in the garage or have a daily commute, you can listen to an audio version of the Bible. About 30 minutes a day for forty days—and you’ll journey through the entire New Testament.

Even if you can’t read through the whole New Testament, will you commit to dive into the Gospels, study the Epistles, or just read the red words of Christ?

Every Wednesday during Lent, we will be sharing what God taught us through that week’s Bible reading. Also, make sure to go check out what Margaret Feinberg is sharing each week.
