Who Cares …

… Emotions are a part of ministry. There’s enthusiasm when all goes according to plan. There’s joy when a life is changed by the power of God. Discouragement when the unexpected occurs. Pain when a family leaves the church. Uncertainty. Anticipation. Love. Concern. Appreciation. Indifference. Yet in the midst of every emotion, there is one constant … GOD CARES. God cares deeply about every emotion we feel.
If you are on the mountaintop and feeling like things couldn’t be better, GOD CARES FOR YOU.
If you are currently experiencing hurt or disappointment in ministry, remember this, GOD CARES FOR YOU.
Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…
God is close to you when you feel alone, He’s close to you when you cry, He’s close to you when you wonder how you’ll move forward. Even in those moments when you feel like God is distant, He’s there.
The good news is, emotions are fleeting. We can choose how we direct our energy and thoughts. Instead of nursing our pain, we can find freedom in choosing to think about things that are good.
Philippians 4:8 says, “…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.”
No matter where your emotions settle today, please remember that God cares about you. He cares about every aspect of your life and so do the women of Leading and Loving It. Let us celebrate with you and encourage you today. Where are you on the emotion scale today? Having an amazing day? Having a challenging day? Hurting?

Loved this, you’re so right on. Emotions are part of the business just like people are and it’s so hard when they hurt us. But God is so good he will fight for us. Thanks for sharing this encouragement today!
