The JustONE Conference
Need encouragement … challenge … connection … and inspiration …
All while sitting comfortably on your couch with a Latte in hand?
The JustONE Conference is a free virtual conference for all Pastors’ Wives and Women in Ministry. This 4 week conference will include over 20 speakers sharing from their personal lives and leadership.
This year the conference is based on 1 Timothy 4:12b-16 (The Message) “Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed–keep that dusted off and in use. Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes! Keep a firm grasp on both your character and your teaching. Don’t be diverted. Just keep at it. Both you and those who hear you will experience salvation.”
Each week will be hosted by:

Loved the last JustONE conference (definitely needed it) and looking forward to this one. Such a great ministry and an ingenious concept! Props to you! Praying many more women involved with ministry will be encouraged, challenged, and hopeful that they will see the salvation of (their) God in every area of their lives.

I made a commitment to improve my spiritual health this year. My husband will be graduating from seminary in May. He is an associate pastor, and this is a second career for him. I am assuming at age 45 I’m pretty old to be a “new” pastor’s wife. Pastoral ministry has not been a part of my life for years and years like so many pastor’s wives, and I feel a little overwhelmed about my role and responsibilities. I work full-time in a secular job, and feel somewhat disconnected from our church. I’m looking forward to this “medicine” to help me on my path to improved spiritual health.

Thank you for doing this! This will be my first one and I am really excited to hear from all these incredible women!

Really excited for this and would like to encourage some of my other women friends in ministry to join with me in participating in this conference. Can you please tell me what to expect in terms of the average length of each of the 4 sessions?
Thanks!
[Reply]
Each session lasts about an hour … give or take a little.
Excited for you to connect. It is going to be a great 4 weeks!

I just got tapped to head up our first women’s conference this year.
My corporate background includes major trade show event planning and 17 years of learning and development, so the logistics and putting together solid programs…I’m not so intimidated by. It’s my first time doing something of this nature in a ministry capacity though. (That….I’m a little intimidated by.)
We’ve had a conference for girls focused on ages 9-18 and we’re expanding the vision. (And yes. God has been leading me this direction despite all my valiant efforts to ignore it, growing up in a family full of preachers.
)
Yeah.
This came along at the perfect time.
Because yeah…..
I’m gonna need some help.
Any suggestions on groups I should maybe join would be awesome too.
Thanks!!
Deb Owen

When we open Virtual Community Groups in a few weeks, you might consider getting in Debbie Hopper’s group. I know she does a big women’s conference at her church so would probably a great help. Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion!
All the best!

Does anyone know how long the session is each day?
[Reply]
Hey Kristin.
They are around an hour each. So that same hour session will play four different times in a week and then the next week, it’ll be another session.
[Reply]
Several ladies from my church are planning on watching it together. However we had a question about scheduling / time. Is it Monday and Tuesday at the times listed or either or? And this is for 4 consecutive weeks?
[Reply]
Eke. Lori, sorry I missed your comment earlier.
So glad you are getting together to watch. Fun!
Monday and Tuesday, morning and evening, are all the exact same session that will replay. So, you just pick the time that works best.
Then the following Monday the next session will start, and so on for the four weeks. Does that make sense
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
[Reply]
So excited for the conference….. Cant wait
[Reply]
So cool! Saw this and already told my wife, who’s emailing all the pastor’s wives at our church. What a great resource!
[Reply]
How long are the sessions? I am not sure how it will work. Do all 5 speakers speak at the same session?
[Reply]
Hey Louisa.
Sessions are about 1 hour in length. Week 1’s 5 speakers will be shown twice a day Monday and Tuesday so that, hopefully, people can find a time that fits. The next Monday will kick off with Week 2’s five speakers and so on. Does that make sense? It is hard to explain before it starts. But just pick a time once a week for the next 4 weeks. Sit down with your computer for about an hour each week, and you’ll get to hear all 20 speakers over the month.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I really need conference to have my strength replinished.

So encouraged by these lovely ladies this morning on JustONE! I took notes, and plan to review 1 speaker each day in my QT. Today the thing that stood out to me from Kaye Warren is … “You’re the message!”. In looking over the scriptures in diff translations (Thx iPhone), that line rings over and over.. I’M THE MESSAGE! What a responsibility! What a privilege. So clear, so direct, such a mandate. Others are looking to me. I must be REAL. I must be full of LOVE. I must be worthy of IMITATION. Christ in me.
Thx Lori and friend! What a blessing!

[Reply]
Hey Emily. We will have all of the sessions archived in the next few weeks. We’ll get the word out once it is up under the media tab.
[Reply]
Will you be hosting another conference?
I just found your website and LOVE this ministry and all you do for us PW (Pastor’s Wives)
[Reply]
Hey Verlina
Yes! We do the JustONE Conference once a year. So, be on the look out for it again January/February 2013.
And, of course, we do a retreat once a year. It is coming up in Sept in OKC and the 2013 retreat will be in November in Nashville.
And we are kicking off new Virtual Community Groups in about a month.
Glad you found us! Let us know if we can ever be a help!

Thanks for doing this-this is going to be great!
