Leading and Loving It has joined forces with the faith-based humanitarian organization World Help with the courageous vision to save the lives of severely malnourished children through Village Transformation.

Village Transformation is an initiative of World Help with the courageous vision to save the lives of Guatemalans in remote villages through Village Transformation.

Village in Need: Jacaguay, Zacapa
Population: 75   /   Number of Families: 20   / Number of Children: 35

Eighty percent of people in rural Guatemala live in poverty. Even basic needs like food, medicine, and clean water are not accessible to most people.

We believe the people of Guatemala deserve a village transformation—one that drastically improves health, education, economics and, at the same time, their spiritual lives.

Jacaguay is a community located in a remote area in Zacapa. The people of the village have been suffering for many years in their forgotten part of Zacapa with no access to drinking water. The only source of water in the village is supplied from a small river that runs along side the community and is unfortunately contaminated.

Ready to get in the game to help the people of Jacaguay? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

– Join forces with your ConnectLIVE or ConnectLOCAL gals
– Host a garage sale
– Designate Village Transformation as the mission project for your VBS
– Challenge your women’s ministry to fill water bottles with change

Or adopt a village of your own! With Guatemala being a relatively short distance from anywhere in the U.S., not only can you help with construction in the village you are working in, but you can build a strong connection with those whose lives you are impacting for a better future.
